What's Your First Handgun? Do You Still Have It Around?

Thinking back to my first handgun, I wonder how many others still have theirs. Mine was a basic .22 — do any of you still own your first? What’s the story behind it? I'd love to hear some memories or even see some pictures!

Walter PP 7.65 mm. Still have it - just repaired.

Colt 1911 .45 ACP that my Grandfather carried in WWI as a full Lieutenant in the AEF and later Army of the Occupation in Germany. Still have it.

H&R 999 Sportsman. It was stolen back several years ago. I'll grab another sometime, it's a great little 9 shot .22.

Got my first handgun (S&W mod 19) 49 years ago. Still sort of have it as wife unit liked it and claimed it "mine now".

1858 Remington copy. Didn't need a permit then, wasn't going to shoot it.

I bought my first handgun 40 years ago to hunt white tails with here in NY. It’s a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag. and I Still have and shoot it from time to time . I don’t hunt with it anymore. I retired it a few years ago for a scoped S&W 5” barreled 629

First handgun was a Ruger single six. It got sold many years ago, for some reason, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it.
