What ear pro do folks you use for upland hunting? Are electronic earplugs worth the money or will basic molded plugs cut it?

I usually use electronic muffs, they let me hear birds and dogs but block out gunshots. Foam plugs work fine, but everything sounds muffled

For upland hunting, electronic earplugs can be worth it if you want to hear conversations while still protecting your hearing when a shot is fired. Basic molded plugs work fine for protection but the situational awareness from quality electronic plugs is a nice upgrade if your budget allows.

Electronic earplugs changed upland hunting for me. Being able to hear birds moving through the brush while still protecting your hearing is really worth it.

Howard Leight Impact Sport electronic ear protection costs about 25 bucks and clearly picks up bird flushes. Considering their price compared to custom molded plugs, just the hearing preservation alone makes them worth it.
