Scout rifle concept builds

I have been reading about Jeff Cooper's scout rifle concept and it's got me thinking about building one. It seems like it fell out of fashion but the idea of a lightweight, versatile bolt gun with forward-mounted optic still makes sense. I saw a Ruger Gunsite Scout at the range last month and it got me interested again. Is anyone running scout rifles or building them? share you setup

I built a scout style rifle with a 16 inch barrel, forward mounted one to four power scope, synthetic stock and .308 for versatility. It stays light and quick to shoulder in the field.
