First piece of gear you ever bought

Mine was a cheap Remington 870, it was nothing fancy, but it was mine and it carried me through first hunts, first clean shots and way too many lessons in patience. It still brings a smile thinking about it. What was yours??

A Browning BAR .22. I was 18 and lived in Manhattan at the time. Used to take it to the range every weekend. It was the start of a long and happy journey with firearms.
