I carry two folding knives when hunting (three counting my always beside my wallet SAK). They are the CRKT Homefront and the CRKT Homefront Hunter. I can choke up on the Homefront to use my finger to protect vitals when opening the deer and then removing the esophagus, lungs and diaphragm while preventing perforations. And fold it up and toss it into the organ bag to be disassembled and cleaned at home. It is also beefy enough as a camp knife or to dig a brodhead out of a tree trunk as necessary. (After full penetration rather than a m-m-miss, of course). The regular Homefront is an upswept blade that I use to skin the deer. Also breaks apart for cleaning. A great combo and not too expensive set.
