I’ve tried both OEM and aftermarket mags over time, and the differences can be surprising, I have noticed that some aftermarket ones run great and others are junk. And to be honest reliability matters more than price for me. What’s this community take; aftermarket or OEM, and which ones have you had good (or bad) luck with?

I trust the factory mags first, then I test out the aftermarket ones really well. Some Magpul and Mec Gar mags worked great for me, while others failed fast. Saving a few bucks isn't worth it if the gun doesn't feed right.

I have several Taran that are flawless. When I bought my 9 Shield I refit four magazines with MagGuts springs and followers for 9 & 10 shots. Have not had a single failure to feed with any of them. My Savage M-11 has a 10 round Snyder Mag. He takes a NATO G-3 magazine and cuts them down and adds a collar that attaches to the bottom metal floor plate. Again, flawless feeding.
