I have been a NYS resident my whole life. Grew up in a large family of hunters and fishermen. Retired now and wife and I are living out our dream in a 1 room log cabin on 23 acres. We are at 1700 ft elevation and some days we have to push the clouds over the hill to let the sunshine in.

Please to meet you. Also a lifelong (65 yrs) NYS resident (in fact, in a 25 mile radius of where I was born). My wife and best friend of 45 years are living in a seven room log cabin on 20 wooded acres (with a portion cleared for raised bed gardens). About the same elevation (the wise man builds his house upon the rock). Been here for 19 years and it was what we dreamed of and worked for over the prior 26 years. I retired three years ago and don't know where I ever found the time to go to a job offsite. ;-)
