Could not pass on the nice doe that walked to within 50 yards of my blind this afternoon, stopped full broadside and looked at me/the blind, and then looked away. When they make an offer like that I do not pass it up. Don't have a way to weigh her, but that is a 22" barrel Savage. She'll taste fantastic.
This one also will have the backstraps & tenderloin removed for griddling and the rest cubed and pressure canned. Yum!
Also noteworthy: according to my deer log this was number 50 on the meat pole! (49 whitetail and 1 fallow).
