I've used AmmoSeek a few times when I was trying to stock up on 9mm and .223 ammo. I found it pretty handy since it compares prices from different sites, which saved me some time hunting for deals. In my experience, the listings are mostly accurate, but I did find a few instances where the prices weren't quite what was shown when I clicked through, so it pays to double-check. Just a heads up, while most sellers seemed legit, I did come across one or two sites that looked a bit sketchy, so I always stick to the ones I recognize. Definitely keep an eye out for reviews if you're unsure about a particular seller. Overall, it’s a solid tool if you approach it with a bit of caution.

I’ve used ammoSeek a few time in the past. Most of the time I would end up using TargetsportsUSA in the end anyways. Prices were Always very competitive and if you were a member the bulk discount was well worth it and having it shipped right to my front porch was mighty damn convenient. Unfortunately now with our current political hacks in office that’s no longer possible.

Am I mistaken that ammunition can no longer be purchased off the Internet in New York and shipped directly to you? I geared up to reload everything I shoot, including 9mm X 19mm, when they closed that door.

There are some companies who will still ship here, most won't. Apparently out AG is like a rabid dog going after companies who ship ammo direct.

Another dumb law.

You are not mistaken. You can buy online but ammo has to ship to an FFL. He will then do a $3 background check and transfer ammo to you. Of course he charges you for his time and service provided.

The NYS Law applies only to NYS licensed firearm dealers. It does not apply to citizens of NY or any dealer or citizen of another state. There is no liability for any out-of-state shipper who sells and ships ammo to NY residents. NY has purposefully induced self-censorship by these dealers for fear and cost of being friviously sued. We need fewer weenies in the business.

This information ^^^^^^ is totally incorrect!

NYS

In New York State, shipping ammunition to residents is restricted under the SAFE Act. Here are the key points regarding ammunition shipping regulations in New York:

Apparently there are still several ammo dealers out there who are not aware of our SAFE Act stupidity. I recently bought some unusual ammo from a dealer. He was going to ship directly to me until I (like a schmuck) informed him that I couldn’t accept it and that it had to go through an FFL. As much as I wanted to thumb my nose at our esteemed Governor and take the ammo, as a lawyer it wasn’t worth the risk.

It’s not on them. The Feds have no such restriction and if their own state has no such law, then they may ship anywhere without consequence. Just be aware in you live in NYS you might get slapped if the wrong official spots it.
